The Hotel Santa Chiara stands in the only point of the historical center of Venice reachable by car, between Piazzale Roma and the train station of Venice Santa Lucia, in the Santa Croce district, and next to Papadopoli Gardens.
You will stay in rooms furnished in Venetian style with wall fabrics and chandeliers in Murano glass. The rooms overlook the Grand Canal or Papadopoli Gardens.
The rooms are equipped with private bathroom with shower and hair dryer but they also have a minibar, satellite TV, telephone, safe and air conditioning. Some are located in the new annexe, situated 100 meters away.
You can start off your day with a rich continental style breakfast, which you can enjoy in the privacy of your room.
A private parking is available free of charge.
All the rooms are decorated following the rules of the Venetian style and tradition: wall fabrics, fitted carpets, Venetian-style flooring, parquet, uncovered beams, Murano glass chandeliers…all the particulars and complements which give a diverse personality to all the rooms. The rooms face on different sides: the Grand Canal, the side canal of Rio Nuovo, the Gardens or Piazzale. The rooms in the Annex have the view on the Courtyard.
All the rooms have a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, a mini-bar, a satellite TV, a telephone with direct external line, a safe, air-conditioning with possibility of personal regulation, soundproofing from the outside noise.
Many rooms are big enough to be able to host 4 people.
The bar and the breakfast room are both overlooking the Grand Canal and a very Venetian Santa Chiara embankment (Fondamenta di Santa Chiara).

By plane: The international airport Marco Polo can be found about 10km from Venice. There are frequent connections with Piazzale Roma: by bus (no. 5 or written Venezia), taxi, or water-taxi (motoscafo). Once you have arrived to Piazzale Roma, you’ll see the Hotel on the Grand Canal side (it’s easily visible from the sides of Piazzale).
By train: Outside the Santa Lucia train station, take the waterbus no. 1 or no. 82 for Piazzale Roma, the stop is 30 meters from the Hotel. It is also possible to arrive on foot in only 10 minutes.
By car: From the exit from the motorway A4, continue in the Venice direction. Once you have arrived to Piazzale Roma by car, the hotel can be found on the Grand Canal side (it’s easily visible from the sides of Piazzale). Hotel Santa Chiara is the only Hotel in Venice with the private parking.

Hotel Santa Chiara It was our first time in Venice. The area is well connected by public transport. Room was well appointed, refined and with a large, modern bathroom. Breakfast was great, served in lovely room facing the gran canal.

Hotel Santa Chiara It was a nice hotel and we do enjoy staying. We will definite go back to the same hotel if we do visit Venice agains.

Hotel Santa Chiara The only reason we chose this hotel was their car park. Do not be fooled - in direct e-mail contact with the hotel we were informed that a parking lot was subject to availabilty upon arrival. Upon arrival we were informed that car parking is only for guests that book directly with the hotel and that no space is available. We noticed that during our stay the hotel parking was never full while we had to park in the public parking. Advertising this hotel as one of the few in Venice with their own parking lot is shamefull.

Hotel Santa Chiara This was the third time my friends and I chose this hotel. When we came back they welcomed us with open arms. The head concierge is the only one who can exchange currency. The other staff members do not have a license for currency exchange. We appreciated that they would hold our luggage after we checked out until the time we called our taxi to go to the airport. The old world charm of this quaint hotel is not to be missed.

Hotel Santa Chiara I would only recommend this hotel if the price was lower. I felt mislead about the parking. I was under the impression that parking was included in the price of the hotel and when I went to go check out, they insisted that I pay cash for the parking. That seemed really suspicous to me, I almost called the police but I just let it go. Parking was 5 euros cheaper than the parking garages directly across the street.

Hotel Santa Chiara Vi consigliamo di richiedere una camera con vista sul canale grande. La camera non era molto spaziosa, ma confortevole e pulita. Comoda la posizione, zona ben servita dai mezzi. Consigliato.

Hotel Santa Chiara Das Hotel ist zentral für Land und Wasser.Bis ins Zentrum ist es ca 40Minuten zu Fuß und 30 Minuten mit dem Wasserbus. Zu Fuß war es schöner nostalgischer, kaum anstrengend oder zu verfehlen Das Personal ist sehr nett. Dusche ist zwar klein aber reicht durchaus für ihre Zwecke. Betten sind sauber und stabil. Der Frühstücksraum ist ziemlich klein und schmal "man frühstückt mit dem Nachbar nebenan" ist aber Darlos. Im Großen und Ganzen für ein *** HOTEL ist es sehr gut
