Hotel Monti is situated in San Baronto, a beautiful village positioned in the heart of Northem Tuscany close to
birthplace of Leonardo Da Vinci and within touching distance of the
most charming and famous Italian Renaissance cities.
It is ideally situated for touring and visiting these valuable cities.
Relaxing days can be spent on beautiful nature walks in the local area, rich in flora and fauna.
Comfortable
strolls through the woodland paths of our area, the Montalbano hills,
or slightly further afield into the renowned Chianti zone towards Siena.
On your return we would welcome you with typical Tuscan fare
prepared in our own kitchen with locally sourced ingredients and a wide
selection of local wines.
Our family hotel is positioned in a quiet residential area and is
particularly well suited to families and children with the added
benefit of safe natural parkland within our grounds and a private
swimming pool with sundeck. There is also a childrens play area, a mini
market and secure, private parking for both cars and coaches.
Public transport is easily accessible from near the hotel.
The hotel’s rooms are spacious, comfortable and practically furnished. They can accommodate up to 4 people and a child. All rooms have independent air-conditioning and heating, private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, mini bar, direct phone, television and wake-up service. Most rooms have a veranda or balcony and a panoramic view.
San Baronto’s pretty village has always been a tourist attraction, especially due to its exceptional position, which makes it an ideal base from which to visit all the most important towns in Tuscany. At
349 metres above sea level, San Baronto is also known as the place with
“fine” air, where the people from the Pistoian plain come to enjoy this
“fine” air and to escape the warm city evenings. There
is another important thing to remember about this area: San Baronto is
the patron saint of Tuscan cyclists and the Montalbano pass is, so to
speak, a must for local cycling enthusiasts and a very popular
destination for the many cycle races that pass through it every year. So if you are organising a cycling tour, remember to visit us: we’ll
look after your bikes and, above all, see to it that you are refreshed
after a hard day, with excellent food and wine from our hills!
