Located in the heart of Florence (only 4 minutes walking distance from the Cathedral, 6 minutes from the station, 8 minutes from the Congress Palace and 12 minutes from the Pitti exhibitions) the hotel is the right place to visit the historic center.

The hotel is located in Borgo San Lorenzo (native district of Collodi, the famous author of Pinocchio), the heart of the historic center of Florence: ideal and strategic point for your visits.
In front of us Medici Chapels (made by Michelangelo), the most famous part of San Lorenzo's Church.
Very close to us there is the lively market of San Lorenzo, where you can find many typical food and colorful stalls. Continuing to Piazza Duomo, only 4 minutes walk from us, we find the homonymous imposing cathedral completed by Brunelleschi. In the same square there are: the Baptistery of San Giovanni and Giotto's bell tower.
Please note that the Central Station of Santa Maria Novella and Air Terminal are 6 minutes walk from the hotel, 8 minutes Congress Center and 10 minutes Fortezza da Basso (Main Trade Fair Centre).
The hotel is also a suitable starting point for those who want to go shopping, as well as being close to the terminal for excursions to Pisa, San Gimignano and Siena.

By train
- from the central train station of S. Maria Novella, far walking distance 6 minutes. From the train station of Campo di Marte with the bus N° 12 until the central train station of S. Maria Novella (about 20 minutes) and from there far walking distance 6 minutes.
By air
- from airport A. Vespucci (area Peretola) start bus shuttle service 'Vola bus' every 30 minutes between the hours 05.30 and 23.00 hours (time spent around 20 minutes), the ticket costs about € 4.50 and brings you to the central station SMN; or by an efficient taxi service, € 20 to 25.
- from airport Galileo Galilei Pisa departing buses "Gran Turismo"of the Society Terravision and trains, both in direction Central Station of Santa Maria Novella.
By car
- For those coming from the north: the highway suggested is the A1 Milan-Naples with their respective exit:Florence north-Florence Certosa and from there follow the signs for "Centre-Station".
- For those coming from the south: the highway suggested is the A1 Milan-Naples with the exit: Florence south and from there follow the signs for "Central Station".
- Who comes from the Ligurian coast and Tuscany can take the A11 highway Pisa-Florence or the motorway FI-PI-LI.

Hotel Lorena The hotel is situated right in the heart of Florence. Basic roooms but clean. We thought it was good low budget hotel.

Hotel Lorena We loved Lorena and plan to stay there again next time we come to visit. They were very helpful in navigating the city, and they spoke good English.
Hotel Lorena The parking near the hotel was expensive, and will run you €24 a day.
