The Hotel Colosseum is located in the centre of Ancient Rome in a
quite street, between the Cathedral of St. Mary Major and the Coliseum,
near the main train station Termini and the Domus Aurea.
The hotel is located in one of the highest points of the Esquilino Hill
and thanks to it's very pleasent terrace gives clients an unic
opportunity to join a wonderful 360° panoramic view of Rome and
environs.
By the reception it's possible to have all informations regarding
sightseen tours, taxi and bus; cars, bikes and scooters rental. The nearest metro stop ("Cavour") is at three minutes
walking like the Opera House that is around 10 minutes.
The common areas of the hotel are covered with internet wi-fi
connection. Possibility of
convention with a parking near the hotel. In case you need we provide
luggage deposit.
Besides the plug for the internet
access via modem available in the rooms, the Hotel Colosseum

From the Airport
You can take the train that leaves every half an hour (7.37-8.07-8.37) in 30 minutes this will bring you to the train station Termini. The price of the ticket is approx. Euro 11.00. From there we suggest you take a taxi and in 5 minutes you'll be here. Alternatively take a taxi direct to the hotel (40 minutes to 1 hour). Price approx. Euro 50. Take only the official yellow or white taxis with a meter, others tend to be unlicensed and may cost double. Have a nice trip!
From the Highway
A1 MILAN-ROME you have to exit at Roma Nord. After the tollhouse go on for 20 Km and exit at SETTEBAGNI. From there you'll take a street called Via Salaria that will bring you until the centre of Rome. On that point just search for Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore or Termini railway station. From the square of the Church begin a street called Via Paolina, take that street and after 50 metres you'll find our Hotel.
A2 NAPLES-ROME, exit at Roma Sud and take for Via Tuscolana Centre that will bring you until the Basilica of S. Giovanni. From there you have to take Via Merulana that connect S. Giovanni with the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore.
