Hotel Clodio Roma

The redbrick building that houses the hotel was built in 1940 and perfectly reflects the architectural style of the Mussolini period. During World War II, it was used by the Italian Navy as a private residence for officers. For the twenty-fourth Jubilee Year promulgated by Pope Pius XII to renew a society torn apart by the second world conflict, the building was converted into a hotel: Hotel Clodio.

For the occasion, many ecclesiastical figures stayed here due to its vicinity to St Peter’s Basilica.

Since 1950, Hotel Clodio has extended a warm welcome to guests in a sophisticated and refined décor featuring real antiques.

The hotel has three meeting rooms differing in both type and size, to hold from 10 to 70 people. These rooms are ideal for training courses, seminars, work sessions and receptions.

Hotel Clodio has 115 rooms, some of which with balconies and terraces affording a view of the rooftops of Rome and the park of Montemario.

All the rooms have private bathrooms, an outside telephone line, sat TV Sky, air conditioning, a mini-bar, hairdryer and WiFi.

The hotel also has rooms for non-smokers and rooms equipped for the disabled.

Tasteful furnishings, a comfortable setting and a full range of amenities for our guests help create a relaxed but sophisticated ambience.

Hotel Clodio is strategically located in Rome: it is less than ten minutes from the Olympic Stadium, the Foro Italico, the court district, the Vatican Museums, St Peter’s Basilica, Castel Sant’Angelo and the “Parco della Musica” Auditorium. There is a bus stop just 100 metres from the hotel, for public transportation to the entire city.

Because of its vicinity to the headquarters of the RAI television network on Via Teulada and Viale Mazzini, the hotel regularly hosts artists, eminent cultural figures and show business personalities.

From the Rome beltway (Grande Raccordo Anulare – G.R.A.) take S.S. 4 “Salaria” and follow the signs for the centre. Take the turnoff for the Tangenziale EST heading towards “Foro Italico”. Go past the Olympic Stadium to the “Circonvallazione Clodia” ring road and Hotel Clodio.
