Hotel Al Sole is strategically located less than 5 minutes walking distance from Piazzale Roma's airport bus terminals and car parking. Less that 10 minutes walking distance from the Railway Station. About 30 minutes from Venice Airport "Marco Polo" and Treviso Airport. The surrounding areas of Hotel Al Sole are amongst the most pleasant in Venice. Amongst streets and small squares, typical bacari (Venice's typical restaurants), little restaurants, shops, bookstores filled with university students and professors, and the lively campo Santa Margherita, one of the most beautiful places of the historic center, where Venice's youngsters enjoy the nightlife, in clubs, pizza shops, cultural and artistic exhibits.

Once in Piazzale Roma: the hotel is less than 5 minutes walking distance! Walk towards the easily recognizable gardens (Giardini Papadopoli) and cross the first bridge. Keep walking straight and you will cross a second, smaller bridge, after which you will make an immediate right on the Fondamenta dei Tolentini' (the street along the canal, with the canal on your right). Without crossing other bridges, make a left on Fondamenta Minotto (another street along the canal, with the canal on your right). Keep walking straight and you will find the hotel on your left, facing the Marcello brid.
By plane, from Venice Airport Marco Polo: once outside the terminal, you may choose between a coach service (blue or orange buses), or a taxi that will both take you to Piazzale Roma in about 20 minutes. The price is about 3 euro per person for the blue buses (with luggage rack and seats for all passengers), about 2 euro for the orange buses (with no luggage racks and either seats or standing room), and about 20 euro for the taxi.
By car: we advise you to park your car in one of Piazzale Roma's garages: the Comunale (the first you encounter after crossing the Libery Bridge) or the San Marco (turning right after having passed the Comunale). They charge about 20-26 euro per day. At the San Marco garage you can enjoy a 10-20% off (depending on the season of arrival) the price by a special agreement with our Hotel. Remember to ask for the coupon at the Reception.
By train: once outside the Station you will see the Scalzi Bridge on your left (one of the three bridges crossing the Grand Canal). Right after crossing the bridge, turn on your right and follow the road always keeping the Grand Canal on your right. You will then find another bridge that you will only partially cross by turning left after the first few steps. You will then be in Fondamenta dei Tolentini (the street along the canal, with the canal on your right). Keep following the street, always following the canal (both will make a natural right turn). At the end of the street, right before the bridge, you will turn left into Fondamenta Minotto (another street along the canal, with the canal on your right). Keep walking straight and you will find the hotel on your left, facing the Marcello bridge.

Hotel Al Sole We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Al Sole, in Venice. This is a jewel of a hotel. Luca at the front desk was lovely and had moved us into a Canel view room at the same rate, as it was our Anniversary. I dont think the pictures or description actually tell you how nice this hotel is. It is expensive (we just spent 14 days in Italy travelling all over, seeking nice but affordable accomodations, and this was our most expensive stay--but well worth it), but this is pretty much the rate for a room --right in the city of Venice, with a lovely entrance, breakfast, breakfast room, and room itself, also an easy walk from the train/bus station (the tradeoff being that this is a longer walk to the San Marco area, maybe 15-20 minutes away), with good directions given and great dinner recommendations from Luca. The room was very clean, with a modern bathroom. Our lovely shuttered window opened up upon a canal, with a lovely bridge just underneath us. Some mornings we were awakened by singing from the gondolier as he passed by our window singing to an accordian player. I could not have imagined a more pictoresque and romantic setting!!!! I would highly recommend this to anyone travelling to Venice.

Hotel Al Sole The hotel ran a free boat service to Murano Island from directly outside the building. It takes you straight to a glass factory, but we just chose not to go in. An issue we had with the aircon in the room (i.e. how to turn it on) was resolved quickly and efficiently. Breakfast was very good and ran until 10:30am so we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn. When booking the room online we requested a room overlooking a canal and were given one. The reception staff spoke good english and were very helpful and polite. The hotel is also a short walk from the Piazzale Roma Bus and Train stations and is close to restaurants and a few bars. We thought the location was ideal as it wasn't teaming with tourists (end of May) but it wasn't in the middle of nowhere either. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel Al Sole Awesome hotel in a beautiful place. 5 minutes walk from the centre. Gondollas just underneath the window and still very quiet. Couldn't be more authentic than that. Very nice staff. What else do you need ? Would DEFINITELY recommend !

Hotel Al Sole Renovations were taking place - very discreetly - but meant scaffolding etc to side of hotel and some boarding up of windows etc. Shame there is no bar for a nightcap! Hotel will be beautiful when works are completed. Would go there again -- very central.

Hotel Al Sole Me gustó mucho la ubicación, la zona era tranquila, además estaba muy cerca de la terminal de trenes y de autobuses, es facil llegar, si llevas cargando tu equipaje será facil llegar caminando al hotel, pues está a las orillas de Venecia. El hotel tiene fachada de viejo pero dentro está bonito y muy limpio.

Hotel Al Sole Es nuestra primera vez en Venecia. Fue certero haber seleccionado este hotel. Es una construcción muy antigua que cobina con la fachada, lobit, pasillos, jardín y habitaciones. Esta muy cerca (tres cuadras) de la estación de autobuses que transportan al aeropuerto Marco Polo y visceversa. Fue una estancia muy agradable. Quizá el precio es un poco elevado para nosostrso en América latina. En el mes de Julio (temporada alta), su precio es de 139 Euros.

Hotel Al Sole Muy buena localización del hotel y muy buena tención del personal de recepción. El patio ajardinado para el desayuno es muy agradable, si consiguieran evitar que las palomas se abalanzaran a las mesas que quedaban sin personas. Hubiéramos querido tener habitación con vistas al jardín o al canal, pero nos tocó una habitación que daba a un patio de luces. Aun así, el hotel es muy recomendable.

Hotel Al Sole Seleccione este hotel al azar ya que los hoteles que en principio pensaba utilizar estaban llenos. Ha sido una sorpresa para mi mujer y para mi la calidad del hotel. Hemos estado muy a gusto y no he dudado en recomendarlo a mis amistades. El edificio és muy bonito y perfectamente distribuido. Si que hubiera preferido que la habitación diera al canal o al jardin y creo que en el momento de contactar por internet seria necesaria la posibilidad de conocer la situación de las habitaciones.

Hotel Al Sole La position de l'hôtel est très pratique pour qui arrive en train et très proche du centre. Le bâtiment est très élégant et se trouve dans une rue tranquille.
Hotel Al Sole Le pétit déjeuner est insuffisant compte tenu du prix, chambre petite.

Hotel Al Sole Excellent emplacement pour profiter d'un séjour à Venise. Très calme, ce qui est appréciable. Un peu cher malgré tout, mais à Venise, tout est cher !!

Hotel Al Sole Der Garten im Innenhof ist schön angelegt, Ruhige Atmosphäre dort, Frühstück ist reichhaltig Stilvolles dem gebäude angemessenes Ambiente. Bäder und Duschkabinen etwas eng. Gute Lage.

Hotel Al Sole Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Es ist wirklich ein gutes Hotel, einfach aber mit eigenem Charme, und guter gemuetlicher Atmosphaere. Nettes, sympathisches Mitarbeiter-Team, sehr freundlich.
