The Grand Hotel Cavour in Florence is situated in the historic centre, a stroll from Dante's House, between the "Duomo" and "Piazza Signoria". The residential palace of the noble families Stiozzi-Ridolfi.
You can enjoy an exceptional view of the city from the terrace "Michelangelo", with its Roof Garden.
We have a small reception room available, which can be used for conferences and seminars for up to 40 people.
It is equipped with illuminated board, personal computer connected to the Internet, video-projector, and personal secretarial services at client's disposal: furthermore refreshments and buffet meals can be provided.
Totally restored ancient building with 105 rooms all furnished with special attention to
materials and colours and equipped with all comforts.
The perfect harmony between classical and modern style make the Grand Hotel Cavour the
ideal place for an unforgettable stay in the wonderful city of Florence.
In all the bedrooms there is individually
controllable air conditioniting, telephone, minibar, safe, flat screen television and
also sound proof casings, not to mention the beautyfully hand made
furniture.
The Angels Restaurant & Wine Bar is where past meets present thus creating a unique atmosphere, which we invite you to experience. The bar, serves tasteful snacks, aperitifs and cocktails from 6.00pm to midnight. The restaurant offers a selection of typical Tuscan recipes reinterpreted to propose new tastes and local products. The restaurant is open from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Its cellar is dedicated to wine, cheese and salami tasting from 8.00pm to midnight. The Angels Restaurant & Wine Bar is closed on Sunday.

- From Roma: 220 kms. - Highway A1 - exit FIRENZE SUD - Direction "Centro". Follow the "Lungarno" river until you fins the mediterraneo Hotel on your right hand side. You will have to turn right entering the Viali and then turn left at the traffic light. You will find another traffic light in front and a street which you will have to enter called via dell'Agnolo. Follow the street to its end and turn right in Via Verdi, take the first narrow street on your left (via S. P. Maggiore) and continue straight in Borgo of the Albizi; at the end of the street you will find Via of the Proconsolo and welcome to the Grand Hotel Cavour!
- From Bologna: 80 kms. - Highway A1 - exit FIRENZE NORD - Direction "Centro". Follow indications to "Centro - Viali Circonvallazione" towards the Arno river until Beccaria Public Square. On the square you will reach the "Nation" building (local newspaper editor) where at the traffic light you must turn right entering Via of the Agnolo. Follow the street to its end and turn right in Via Verdi, take the first narrow street on your left (via S. P. Maggiore) and continue straight in Borgo of the Albizi; at the end of the street you will find Via of the Proconsolo and welcome to the Grand Hotel Cavour!

Grand Hotel Cavour Location was excellent, only steps away from the Duomo, Uffizi and the other places of interest. Staff spoke good english and were very attentive.

Grand Hotel Cavour A very comfortable hotel located just a stone's throw away from the Duomo and the Uffizi. The staff were quite pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was above average and the rooftop view was spectacular! Some things that could use improvement would be the Internet. (It was very slow and you needed a CIA code just to get online.) I asked for a "king" bed and got two doubles pushed together. That is never a good solution since they tend to split apart in the middle of the night. Also, Florence is filled with students, who stay up till 3-4 in the morning. You can hear every word they say since the buildings act like amplifiers. But, hey, it's Florence and whatever inconveniences one might experience, it is simply a minor annoyance since you're in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.

Grand Hotel Cavour The reason I gave the hotel an overall rating of 9 is that the room was not very protected from the street noises. The noises were very loud and carried through the windows easily. The temperature was also a bit difficult to adjust (to cooler), and without wanting to open the windows (due to noise and exhaust fumes) the stay was a bit less comfortable. Otherwise, the room, facilities, quality, cleanliness and services were excellent.

Grand Hotel Cavour Centrally located, within walking distance from the all historical sites. We had a room with a beautiful view of Duomo. Good breakfast and very helpful staff.

Grand Hotel Cavour Non è la prima volta che pernotto presso questo hotel ma trovo poco confortante che le camere siano quasi sempre disponibili dopo le 14,00. L'ultimo check-in l'ho effettuato alle ore 12,00 circa e neanche in questa circostanza mi è stata assegnata la camera nonostante un bisogno per motivi di lavoro.
