Cimatori Bed and Breakfast takes it name from Piazza Cimatori the medieval square of the Romanesque S. Martino del Vescovo church where in the middle ages workers cut the matted ends (the Cime) off the fleeces used in the wool making industry.
Today beautiful frescoes by Antonio del Chierico can be admired in the oratory of San Martino.
All bedrooms have private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, double glazing, safe, telephone and internet port.
Some
rooms can sleep up to 4 adults and have either a queen double bed or
twin beds. They are tastefully furnished and the original wooden
ceilings give a charming touch.
This
tastefully decorated Guest House, has rooms that could accommodate up
to 4 adults. These rooms have the choice to offer you either one Queen
or two Twin beds, and in the case the group is larger, there is a fold
out double bed. All the rooms have their own bathroom equipped with

Bed and Breakfast is located in the historical center of Florence in
Dante Alighieri Street #14 between the Duomo and Signoria Square.
It’s
only 10 minute walking or 5 minute by bus (electric bus line A) far
from Florence main railway station (Santa Maria Novella) or by taxi.
If you decide to walk, from the main train station you walk along VIA
PANZANI which becomes VIA CERRETANI and as you have reached the
Cathedral ( Duomo) turn right. Now’ll be in VIA CALZAIUOLI, Florence’s
“main drag”. After about three blocks, you'll find VIA DE' TAVOLINI on
your left. Via de’ Tavolini is long one block, and becomes Via Dante
Alighieri, our street. The AMERICAN EXPRESS AGENCY is on your left, and
on its right, there is the #14 with a sign: 'CIMATORI '. You have
arrived!
If
you decide to take the Electric Bus ‘A’, when
you get off your train, continue walking straight ahead through the
ticketing office (Salone Biglietteria), and outside the bus stop is on
the other side of the wall in front of you. Wait
at the bus stop for bus ‘A’; Dante Alighieri Street is one of the
scheduled stops on the route The bus "A", makes a stop just right in
front of our front door (look for the American Express Office) .
Remember to buy your ticket before you get on the bus: you can buy it
at the Tourist Information office or at the Snack shop in the ticketing
office.
Florence airport
Amerigo Vespucci is on the outskirts of town and can be reached by taxi
(10-15 minute ride) or SITA bus from the railway station.
If you’ll be by car the
nearer parking is the ‘Garage Bargello’ in Via Ghibellina #70, its
costs around 25.00 Euro/day. There is a city hall owned
parking lot in piazza della Libertà called ‘Il Parterre’. This lot
costs 15.00 Euro/day but is a taxi ride away from the B&B. To get
to Piazza della Libertà, just follow all indication to this square and
then follow all of the big Blue “P” indicating the parking.
