B&b La Casa Di Zefiro Capraia e Limite

"La casa di Zefiro" is situated in the heart of the "Montalbano" a true relaxing area reaching from Florence to Pisa and from Prato to Pistoia. The family lives in the house and it’s willing to make the guests feel at home. The activity is born in 2003, with the idea of giving services to a hotel but with the typical atmosphere of a family house.

Although the Bed & Breakfast has been furnished in the typical Tuscany style with its red terracotta pavements, it also offers modern services (TV with DVD, heating). Guests can relax in the garden where they can enjoy the beauty of the landscape just as from the terrace of their room.

Guests can use a private parking lot, the use of the laundry, and rooms come supplied with the bed linen and bath towels and with daily house keeping.

Not so far from the house they are found covered of trekking landscaped and naturalistic, field from golf to 9/18 holes and a fishing lake.

The rooms appears on the typical hills of Montalbano and its picturesque landscape dedicated at the coltivation of olive trees, vineyards and wheat. Our rooms are finelly furnished and equipped with colour TV, hair drier and heating, moreover they have private bathroom with shower.

Every morning we provvide at the cleaning and every 3 days at the change of the household linen.

In the summer period in the rooms with balcony is possible, on request, to have breakfast; we offer a cheast with the products and they will enjoy the beautiful landscape.

After an intense passed visiting towns and monuments or walking around, hosts can conclude the day tasting some typical dishes like “Bistecca alla fiorentina”, the “panzanella” or the “ribollita” and desserts like cantuccini with vinsanto.

The villa is positioned in a spot with a beautiful view of all the towns that encircle like Empoli, Montelupo Fiorentino, Montespertoli, Capraia e Limite. Perhaps the foremost characteristic is gorgeous vegetation of the Montalbano hills with it’s century old olive groves and vineyards.

The Montalbano area has great handcraft traditions dating from the Middle Ages and that still today can count on great artisan masters. Moreover the area of the Montalbano is rich of art and history (Leonardo da Vinci was born near here and his childhood was spent on these hills) and castles, small historical villages and museums are at stone throw distance. Not to mention the deeply rooted gastronomic and wine traditions, and the folkloristic and cultural events.

From the house you’ll be able to spot the ancients castles and villages of Capraia and Montelupo, famous for the production of ceramics and terracotta (well known since ancient Romans), and the town of Montespertoli one the best known centers of Chianti wine production and where a great festival is held every year in June.

“La casa di Zefiro” has favourable position, approximately 400 meters above sea level., in a “protected Area” next to become a “Natural Park” on the top of which is possible to visit “The Devil’s Stone”. Thanks to the ideal geographic position many historical centers like Vinci (Leonardo’s town), Pisa, Siena, Florence (30 minutes drive), Pistoia, Collodi (Pinocchio’s town) and many other points of artistic and historical interest of Tuscany.
