Alexander Museum Palace Hotel Pesaro

Hotel hospitality combines with art and creates the most original hotel of Italy. It happens in Pesaro, in the Marche Region, with the Alexander Museum Palace Hotel. The hotel is a complex work of art, the fruit of four years' work involving famous and emerging contemporary artists.

Artists such as Arnaldo Pomodoro, Enzo Cucchi, and Mimmo Paladino, to name just a few, have made their contribution to create this “permanent performance”, as the ownercalls it.

All the rooms and reception areas, every single detail, is the work of a different artist, from the 15-metre-high landmark stone at the entrance, to the doors of the guest rooms, each one a work of art in itself and different from all the others. Nine floors of dynamic contemporary art, that make the Alexander an experimental workshop for new forms of expression in painting, sculpture, video art and all the other creative acts that human ingenuity can conceive of.

The Alexander Museum Palace Hotel will become a hive of activity, with a constant flow of debates, conferences and seminars, on art and for art.

The hotel, which is completely white, will be introduced by its 15-metre-high landmark stone, created by Arnaldo Pomodoro. Every detail, from the entrance to the interior furnishings, is the result of the creative force of the designer, whose name it bears.

And of course the other areas – the corridors, the reception rooms, the pool – are the work of a further 25 artists.

The swimming pool is an “infinity pool” of blue mosaics, located in front of the hotel between the beach and the hotel building.

Each room has been completely designed by an artist and is provided with air conditioning, Tv with satellite programs, minibar, safe, radio, alarm-clock, telephone with internet connection, wifi, balance, hair-dryer, shower and/or bathtub (some also with Jacuzzi). 50 rooms are endowed with a balcony, 4 with connecting door and four are designed for disabled people.

Particular remarks have to be given to the Restaurants, which have received many appreciations: 1) the “Manico- Mio” (also know as the sculptors room) 2) “Le taverne dell’arte” (the Art – Tavern), also known as the printers’room. Both after first- class local specialities prepared with fresh, choice ingredients, some of which are producted locally. Fish specialities. Ample choice of top – quality guaranteed wines. The buffet breakfast offers homemade cakes as well as organic marmelade and food. Dining room for business lunches, dinners, banquets and special occasions, gala dinner.

Go along motorway A14, choose the Pesaro exit and then turn right. At the second traffic- circle choose the direction to Rimini. At the next crossing-light turn right. After 5 crossing-lights turn left. This street is Viale della Repubblica and leads to the sea. At the end of the steet you meet a sculpture (“The Big Sphere”). Turn right and go ahead until the end of the street. The Alexander Museum Palace is the last hotel on the left side (Viale Trieste 20).
